
Tenants
TENANTS – Once accepted as a tenant by Oak County, tenants can expect our full support provided that rental commitments are met. We will ensure all safety aspects of a property, including gas safety checks etc are carried out timely and efficiently and deal with all reported repairs/maintenance in a prompt and courteous manner.
The minimum tenancy available is six months.
A security deposit, equivalent to the minimum of one months’ rent, together with the first months rent in advance, is required on MOST properties.
After viewing a property, shouls tenants wish to proceed with a tenancy application; certain documentation will be requested to assist us with the referencing required.
Listed below are our requirements:
- Proof of ID – Passport or Driving Licence (with photograph)
- Proof of Residence – Utility bill (gas, electric, etc) with present name/address
- Residential History – last three years addresses.
- Last 3 month wage slips or P60 and Employers Reference.
- Last 3 month Bank Statements
- Set up Fees
Although we will consider DSS for most of our properties, tenants who claim housing benefit will need to provide proof of their claim (if possible) and are most likely be asked to have a Guarantor.
Sorry, but we do not except the Council’s Bond Scheme.
Copies of any documentation provided will be kept on our files and will remain strictly confidential for the use of Oak County Property Management only.
